CALL TO ARTISTS
ELEMENTS
We are thrilled to announce a call to artists for our upcoming exhibition, "Elements," a celebration of the fundamental forces that shape our world: Earth, Wind, Fire, and Water. We invite artists of all disciplines and mediums to explore these elemental themes, offering a platform for diverse interpretations that range from the deeply abstract to the vividly realistic. This exhibition seeks to capture the essence of these powerful forces, showcasing their inherent beauty, dynamic energy, and profound impact on our planet and our lives. Whether you work in painting, sculpture, photography, digital art, textiles, or any other medium, we encourage you to delve into the physical and metaphorical aspects of these elements, expressing their complexities through your unique artistic vision. We are particularly interested in works that demonstrate a thoughtful engagement with the theme, reflecting the power, beauty, and ever-changing nature of Earth, Wind, Fire, and Water.
Submission Deadline: March 22 Exhibition Dates: April 1 - April 26
CALL TO ARTISTS
Unique
We challenge artists to reimagine the potential of everyday materials. This call invites submissions that creatively utilize unconventional substances like newspaper, plastics, corrugated cardboard, metal, and other overlooked materials. We encourage artists to explore the conceptual and aesthetic possibilities of these mediums, creating works that engage with texture, form, and the inherent qualities of the chosen materials. Works can be securely attached to canvas or wood cradle board, or mounted for display. Professional presentation is paramount.
Submission Deadline: April 22 Exhibition Dates: April 29 - May 31
GFA is a volunteer-driven 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting the arts. Your entry fees directly fund the exhibition, enabling us to showcase diverse artistic voices and enrich our community.

Please supply your own paper towels, table coverings etc. All tables must be completely covered with plastic or paper and the floors covered if the art media is extremely messy. Please pull the tables away from artwork on the walls if your techniques are messy.AFTER CLASS:
Check that chairs and tables are free from paint or glue and pick up any trash so that the classroom will be ready for the next day.
Empty all trash into one of the outside bins.
Remove any paint on the sink and trash from the floors in the bathrooms and kitchen (especially after kids classes) so they will be ready for the next day.
If needed, vacuum the classroom. If your class extends to the next day, you may leave the table coverings and supplies in the classroom. If your class is during closed hours, you may give a tour of the facility. Please don’t let kids run around, as art is fragile, especially in the gift shop. Teachers are responsible for breakage.
Helping us keep the classrooms clean and ready for the next class enables GFA to offer classroom rental at this low rate. Thank you!
After your class is finished, we recommend emailing your students to thank them for coming to develop a good relationship with them and create a following for your art classes and be sure to save your students information so that you can let them know about your future classes.
