About the Artist

I love working in clay. I get to form my own canvas that I will manipulate into whatever shape I choose for each finished piece of art. Sometimes I will hand-build my shapes by using forms and supports. Often I prefer to throw on the potter's wheel, possibly combining that piece with something I have hand built. My favorite step in the process is adding texture or carving my own designs to add dimension. Adding color to my work can be challenging because of the small areas that I have carved. I have found a color palette that works for my pieces. I like the southwest colors and am always working on new combinations. 

My inspiration comes from living in Arizona and my imagination.
