about the artist
I grew up close to the ocean in Far Rockaway, New York. I would walk to the beach to sketch the waves and the clouds. I was immersed in art all the way through school from the earliest stages of painting scenery for school plays to majoring in Art Education in college.
I became an art teacher and my love for art never waned and only grew. In retirement I have the time to create art. I thoroughly enjoy finding new artistic pursuits.
I have been an acrylic painter for many years with my focus always on vibrant colors and composition. My latest artistic obsession has been painting with alcohol inks on tiles and also on handcrafted clay earrings.
Art has always inspired my curiosity and brought me much happiness which I hope to share with you. Art gives us all an opportunity to see the world anew.
