about the artist
I owe my creative side to my mother who was an artistic soul and always had us doing something crafty as children.
My career was in nursing but I have always had the need to be creative: sewing, knitting, needlework, stained glass, fused glass and beading. I have also played with woodturning, lapidary/silversmithing and painting.
Although I dabbled with beads in college I didn’t really get “addicted” until my husband and I moved to Sun City Grand and I joined the beading group where I continue to enjoy teaching others.
I use many different beadweaving techniques in my work but Bead Embroidery is my favorite. I use my own designs and often include my own fused glass cabochons in my Bead Embroidery pieces.
