About the Artist

I am a retired nurse with a love of dance and art. Having grown up in Minnesota (Land of 10,000 Lakes) and living for a while in Hawaii, water has always had a huge influence on my life, which shows in many of the subjects I choose. I danced flamenco for many years, with a background in ballroom, tap and ballet. The human body constantly awes me – what it can achieve in dance and in healing. So, I am currently taking art classes in hopes of increasing my expertise in figure drawing. Because I have more time to “play,” I am happy to have found a group of like-minded people in this art community.
