About the Artist
I work in monoprint, etching, and marbling. With an MFA from Boston University, I began working in weaving in the '80s and then went on to paper and silk marbling in 2007. Marbling is still a big part of my practice but has now expanded into an interest in the wider world of printmaking. Since 2017 I have concentrated on etching, monoprint, collagraph and blind embossing. My monoprints and etchings are done in abstract subjects, my collagraph and embossing tend to be based in geometry. Much of my work explores the relationship, even the tension, between order and chaos either in the imagery or the process.
