Help Empower Artists!

Our volunteers are the backbone of Ground Floor Artists programs. Perks of getting involved include rubbing elbows with an incredible creative community, regularly surrounding yourself with art and art making.

Ongoing opportunities include:

Event Support: As available, eg. Exhibition Openings, Concerts, Lectures, etc.
The Event Support crew is vital to helping Ground Floor Artist pull off our great events. Volunteers lighten the load for staff members, make sure all of our guests are attended too, and infuse the place with good energy.

Duties include:  Set-up and breakdown, serving food and drinks, manning the door, and more.

Gallery Greeter (Docent) Wednesday – Saturday, shifts 10am–1:00pm & 1:30pm–4pm
The Gallery Greeter is one of our main liaisons to the public. They are educated about current exhibitions and our on-going programs so that they can effectively answer questions and provide general information to our visitors. Duties include: directing visitors to the office or to tenants’ studios; answering the phone and recording messages for staff; providing information about rentals and classes; assisting with mailings, filing, or light office tasks.

Facilities Support: Is available, to be scheduled with Facilities Manager.
Keeping this building in good condition so that all may enjoy it takes a village. Volunteers can help with a wide range of projects, depending on their skills and availability. We regularly need help with: gallery wall prep and painting, cleaning and organizing, sign painting, light construction/carpentry, and more.

Other: Have a special skill set or want to help with something specific? Have limited availability? There are many other ways to get involved, just drop us a line with your suggestion!
