About the Artist
Wayne was born in Connecticut in 1951. Long gray winters, black and white television and a promised move to Florida defined his childhood. These experiences influence the vivid colors that are present in his art today. Conventional rules of art are delightfully bent as his works take on his expressionistic view of the world. When Wayne begins a painting, he finds his best work comes with no preconceived notion of what he is going to paint each painting is a surprise. He enjoys the process of putting paint to canvas watching color and texture reveal the story the painting becomes. His goal is for his work to express the whimsey he sees inn everyday life. Wayne can be found most days in his studio at Ground Floor Artists in Surprise, Arizona.
